"But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?”" (Mark 4:38, NRSV)
Questions are fantastic. You can learn a lot from questions even when they are the wrong questions or have the wrong premise.
The disciples wake Jesus up and wonder if they care if they are perishing? Since the creation of the world that has been God’s concern, that we are perishing. The purpose that He entered into this world is so that we won’t perish. That is why Jesus is there with the disciples so they and the rest of the world won’t perish, but live with him forever.
